I am actually having fun for a few days. I am orderig a bunch of new laptops/monitors/wheelie laptop cases. They picked the right person to shop, that's for certain.
In about a week, when all this gets here and I have to coach everyone on using the new equipment, my job will be sheer hell (there's only one other person besides myself to help for 30 - odd people). I went through this a while ago but on a much smaller scale. This could get interesting.
So what are you working on now? Do you enjoy it?

Well after a couple of weeks of not much to do, I am making up for it this week. Creating reports and more reports.

Doing a market analysis of the competition for a series of books we are republishing on horses. I am also reading through a wacked manuscript (basically a science fiction book where dogs take over the earth).
Talk about LOL!

Currently I'm working on a database with 200,000 subscribers mapped by area and showing a six month trend since we started our easy pay subscriber program.
The other map project is showing in a 2 state region a map of our high volume ($$$$$) customers by county to show our local casino where their customers are coming from.
Do I like it.... yes but there's some issues with my software and how I present the data being more realistic than our Market Research dept who's data suck.

I like what I'm working on today. I'm finishing up a 4 pg. brochure that I'm fairly happy with the way it turned out.

I'm drawing a shape that was easy to draw, but the program is a whole other story. I don't like it much.

I'm guessing it was a 'circle', yes?
Just got back from lunch w/Rando. Back in the officina. Gonna apply for these new benefits we just got offered to us. Then I'll take a nap under my desk.

I'm trying to figure out what some &*#$ brokers did with some of my clients money (or what the clients did that they didn't realize or neglected to tell us). Its like trying to get an infant to tell you the quadratic formula. But it seems just as pointless too. where oh where is that darn $.45??? this 200 mil account will NOT go on without it...
In short? no, I do not like this.

You're gonna nap at work ????
I've just discovered that we have ordered and received 12 too many Nortons licences for a client, so I am trying to convince my supplier to take them back. Unfortunately I couldn't do the same with the 5 extra Miscrosoft SBS add-ons as they have already been installed. My boss and I between us had some bad senior moments last week . No it isn't much fun .
I'm also playing email tag with some suppliers of running related products in the US that I want to import, and discovering that the freight charges ex USA to here are hideous and may can the whole plan . But its fun anyway.
And I have just booked in two more massage clients for tonight. Thats definitely fun, especially as one has sore legs and i'll probably get to make him squeal .

F--------- NO I don't like what I'm doing now. Getting ready for a capital approval meeting to see how we're going to spend the rest of this year's money, which our VP assures us there is plenty of and which Finance assures us we are short on. Also trying to reconcile headcount issues and find space for 25 more new hires who will be on board by the end of the year. Still tweaking the job posting for my replacement and getting ready for a community outreach meeting at noon (the group I chair through the women's network).
