Posted: 10/25/04 - 10:33 Post subject: What a great weekend!!!
It was awesome! My kayaking friend and I blew off the kayaking and went ot a local resort (genie, you know The Moorings) and laid on the beach/pool and pretended we were on vacation for a day. So relaxing!!!
Sunday, Larry and I had our whole day/night off together since we got married! Our friends (they also happen to be my employers) are world class sailors with a 48 foot custom built catamaran. They took us out sailing all afternon. It was a gorgeous day, a little overcats and breezy, no mosquitos, not much humidity. The most relaxing sensation is to lie on the trampoline in the front of the boat and listen to the water rushing under the hulls and feel the sun warming your skin. What a great weekend!!!
Dinner was great also. We had scampi (and the sauce was just the right blend of garlic and lemon and butter) with cappelini and fresh Key West rock shimp, fresh tomatoes, and freshly baked sourdough bread.
How was your weekend??? I hope everyone else had a great one!

Seems the Cowgirls forgot to take their skirts off before the game yesterday!!!!! WOO HOOO!!!!!
And the SOX won, despite poor Schilling obviously really suffering between that ankle and the hip flexor he pulled after the first inning. You could see the pain every time they showed him sitting on the bench.

Fantastic weekend. Friday night I BOUGHT GROCERIES! THERE'S FOOD IN MY HOUSE! Dinner out with my husband.
Saturday: 5K PR in the am with hardware, joint me/Dad birthday party in the evening. Mom looked tired and weak, but was in good spirits. She continues to argue constantly with me; always a good sign.
Sunday: very unexpected half marathon PR in the am, cleaning in the afternoon, dinner with the family Go in the evening. A few phonecalls to RRers.

That does sound like fun! I bet the beach over there is to die for.
Mine was good, a nice mix of relaxing and productive, both of which I needed. Spent mucho time in the kitchen yesterday making beef burgundy, peach cobbler and peanut butter cookies, as well as also going grocery shopping and stocking up on meat and stuff and cleaning out the fridge. Got some cleaning done I had let go and rearranged some closets, and finally got out to clean up the garden, although I still have bulbs to plant. Ahhh.....now I can play this week on break.
Watched football all day and the Sox win last night. Pretty much a lazy piggie on Saturday but I deserved the break.
