Weather here was incredible, I got my garden all spring planted even though it took two days--it looks gorgeous (THAT'S gonna hurt in the morning), got to spend some time with my neighbors, had dinner and laughs with Maddie on Saturday night, was outside almost ALL weekend and had two really good workouts too. Defintely 5 tulips outta 5. I LOVE spring!!

After the stuff that went down during the week, the weekend went very very well. Terrific weather, another meeting with Kobyj, back here safe and sound. After the extreme negatives, I didn't need - or want - an extreme positive, just a nice simple, enjoyable weekend. And we got that.

The spirits of peace and tranquility gave me the weekend to myself. Today I painted and read a book about Druidism.

Went back packing on the AT with friends. We did a 12 mile section using minimum eqipment. I built a debris hut and spent the night in that with a 40 degree bag. I think it got down to about 31 last night, but I was snug as a bug. My friends in the tents were cold.
Got a bit of a sunburn and I ache quite a bit. Lots of trees down across the trail, and a VERY rocky section. Made for tough going
A nice shower and Alia's great split pea soup were waiting when I got home.

im finally over the virus i had, but now the pollen is so bad that i cant breath
ive spent the majority of the weekend inside working on a stupid paper that is due tomarrow.
oh and my black car is now green.

Great weekend here too. Took the kids to a horse competition (were my favorite paralegal student took first place in regionals) at the college Friday evening, went to Applebee's beforehand, DQ afterwards. w00t!
Got some cleaning done on Saturday and bought a way too expensive vacuum because we are moving in June to a BRAND-NEW, never-ever-been-lived-in-before apartment (it is still being built actually!) not one mile from the school that I absolutely had to get Jacob into for kindergarten in the fall. It is a mere 3 miles from my college as well. Double w00t!!!
Lots of homework done today, plus found a few minutes to tan. I will be bronzed before long!
Ready to get back to school though. Only four more weeks of this. I just want to get it over with at this point!

The GF came over from Dallas.....we went to a cool native plant/organic type nursery and demonstration garden, then had a great lunch at a homestyle cafe, then went to an art festival in downtown Ft. Worth and saw Buddy Guy play for free.....

Just did things with the kids, did more things with the kids, put together a wire cube rack for the girls' closet, cleaned, cleaned some more, cleaned some more still and now it's Sunday night.
Time to gear up for another week.

I wanted to get the grass up for where I'm putting in my garden and get the soil turned, but alas, kids! Got stuff done this weekend, but not as much as I would have liked.
The important stuff, spending time with my kids, got done!
Beautiful weekend. God couldn't have made a prettier one.

Got home from Dallas late Friday night. Went down to mom's house for going away party for us...  got to see all my nieces and nephews for the final time..sniff..sniff...
Sunday morning, back on the plane and Im currently sitting in a hotel room in San Diego (Good times!!!)
