Every time the AOL commercial comes on my husband starts snarling protests. Every time. I can't stand the commercial either, but what good does griping about it do? (except the griping I'm doing right now)

the plymouth mini van commercial with the lady loading the van and the dude trying to fold up the stroller. It is so demeaning to men and think it completely sucks for the way men are perceived in ads.

All the McDonald's commercials and the new Nike ads with the ants and the mongoose vs. the cobra. I mean i guess it looks good but it doesnt make any sense whatsoever.

Two guys at the lunch line. One guy is holding two meals on a tray. One meal is covered with a lid. Second guy is throwing all kinds of food on the tray saying things like "you can get a virus, etc..." then ends it by saying "which one do you want?" The first guy says "I'll take the tuna sandwich" and the other guy says "that's mine." UGH! Drives me nuts!

I have some issues with how some commercials portray men.
Many years ago there was an Xerox Electronic Typewriter commercial that only showed men typing. I was very insulted because I did all of my own typing on a Xerox. (IBM Selectric Commercial showed men typing at work)
A commercial where the dad is so inept he could not make french toast for his kids - so the kid brings out the frozen stuff.
The Durango commercial where "Mr Macho" is extolling the joys of a hemi while the wife is extolling the joys of the DVD.
I'm not going to stand here and deny men are not like this but...If an ad agency showed women as inept or uncaring as these commercials do, there would be angy women on Madison Avenue with pitchforks and torches in about five minutes.
