Sad I'm getting my last 2 wisdom teeth yanked out. My insurance does not cover an oral surgeon so it's back to my dentist I go. Does anyone know a sure fire way to prevent swelling?

Make sure you have icepacks ready.

I put them on my mouth continuously for the first two days and it really helped with the swelling. I remember my mom getting them every time one warmed up and was no longer cold.

Good luck!

I'm sorry that you have to go through this. Sad

I dunno? I think swelling is always included at no additional cost Mr. Green However, I'd start with the ice as soon as it's over. Be thinking of you kid! Very Happy

Bend over as little as possible. That keeps the blood from rushing to your head. And it keeps the pain down.

Good luck, Akern. That bites.

I agree with Happy. The cold up here is enough to keep any swelling down. I'd also try a shot of whiskey every hour.
