Deputies watching for a reckless driver found him at an Upper Keys gas station and arrested him for possessing heroin.
At 8:30 a.m. Feb. 5, Deputy Francisco Gaete was watching for the silver mini-van which had reportedly been driving recklessly.
He spotted it as it turned into a gas station at MM 106.
The deputy approached the driver and asked for his license and registration. He could not produce either one.
A check of the driver's name revealed his license had been suspended eight times.
As the deputy prepared to take 42-year-old George Micelli into custody, he noticed Micelli was only wearing a shirt and underwear.
When asked why he was not wearing pants, Micelli replied that he was on his way to work at the gas station where the traffic stop took place.
He said he thought it would be more comfortable to go to work in his underwear.
A search of his van turned up a folded dollar bill. Inside the folded bill the deputy found three aluminum foil packets with a brown substance inside that tested positive for heroin.
When Micelli was booked at the Detention Center, Detention deputies found another folded dollar bill with three Xanax pills inside.
Micelli was booked on charges of driving with his license suspended and possession of two controlled substances.
