Posted: 11/15/05 - 23:37 Post subject: Well I ran a marathon...
I dunno if anyone remembers me from around last summer, but I used to be a semi-regular poster here.
I'd just like to proudly say I did my first 42k run a few weeks ago, not in a competition or anything, but it was a marathone none-the less. It took me a not to amazing 5 and a half hours, but oh well, I ran the whole thing, so thats an accomplishment for me.
Anyhow I'd like to thank everyone here that helped me, in whichever way you did, so thankyou!

You did one not as an organized event? Great job!

Doing a full 'thon (as we have seen in the news lately) is an accomplishment. Well done!

Congrats on your marathon...

Wow - you just up and pushed yourself 42K all by yourself? IMHO that's probably harder than running an organized race. No water tables, no cheering crowds, no name in the newspaper all your co-workers will see so you'd better make it good.
I'm impressed.
