I limited out on bottle bass
Fishing was excellent for largemouth and smallmouth bass, a bit below average for walleye and pike. Caught some really nice bluegills. It was just me and my youngest son and we had a blast. I think he caught more fish this past week than he's caught in his life up to this point. He was a total trooper, any time I thought about going out he just dropped what he was doing and he was ready to roll. He outfished everybody in the camp on the bass and bluegills, I managed to catch enough walleyes to win $50 in our yearly contest although i was defeated in the biggest walleye contest by a mere 1/4 of an inch.
I managed to run 5.5 miles on wed. and then a short 1.75 mile jog yesterday. It's a bear sitting on your ass in a boat all week and then coming back to reality....

Sounds like you had a blast! Where do you fish? I enjoy fishing but I don't normally do it in freshwater. I'm more into marine/ocean fishing.

Sounds like the proverbial "big fish story" to me...
Glad you had fun! I used to have tons of fishing tackle, and "0" ability to use it....good thing for the fish

You can fish for Marines? Is this a great country or what???
Just kidding--best fishing for us ever was in Alaska. Halibut and Salmon.
Glad you enjoyed your trip, Rob, these are times your kids will remember for the rest of their lives. I remember fondly getting to fish with my dad when I was young.
