In one of the rare - and I mean rare - times they got it right, the local PBS station offered a documentary marking the 25th anniversary of Disco Demolition at Comiskey Park. Truly an example of the inmates running the asylum, DD did wipe out any beachhold that disco had established in Chicago.
And this was right around the time I moved here for my job. Coincidence? Hmmmmm.......

But didn't it already come back?!
There are chain's of Nightclubs called Polly Esther's that cater to just that perversion.
Of course, few of those current dancers lived through it the first time *shudder*

That's a chain? I didn't know that, I've only heard of the one in Philly.

It sure is, we have one here in Denver also. It's one o the longest lasting clubs in the city. Usually clubs shut down after 2 years max, but this one has been around farevah! And I don't understand why. I hate it.

Polly Esther's isn't quite the same thing. Neither is Have a Nice Day Cafe. They are kitschy theme bars made for really cheesy people, tourists and bad bachelorette parties. I regret the handful of times I was dragged to either chain bar (a phrase that shouldn't exist) against my will.
If Disco came back (in my head) life would be like "Saturday Night Fever" (sans the end depressing part) and it would just be everywhere, not just at bad theme bars only foreign tourists go to.
I don't know, personally I wanna put on my my my my my boogie shoes. Bring it!!
