I'm getting ready to do a long bike ride this summer, so I've been concentrating on that this winter. My last run was a 5 miler about three weeks ago. But, since today was a gorgeous, sunshiny day I decided to run instead and did 3 miles. It felt great!

I ran outside today for the first time since Dec 28, 3.4 miles in 41 minutes.
I am so out of shape. This was on my home route, which is up and down hills, and they were just killing me. A humbling experience. I'll be working on building up to a 'normal' 4 mile run.
On the other hand, it was so nice to be outside and running even though every part of my body seemed to hurt!

First hills workout, so it was very gentle. Four 400m runs at sub-9 minute pace. Grades of 10, 8, 9, and 8%.
This plus warm-up and cool-down, 5.168 miles, :45:20.50 (8:46.41). (corrected info)

One mile warm up. 10X400's at 6:49 pace, cool down, stretching. This was the first week we bumped up the speedwork to 10 instead of 8X400's. The last two were very challenging.
