After yesterday's misadventure, all I wanted was more consistency. Still not feeling good - I did take the day off - but better than yesterday, so after a couple hours of thinking it over, I decided to go to the gym.
Much better overall effect, although the time was (deliberately slower than yesterday). Only stopped twice, and one of those was for a bathroom jaunt. Really got a sweat built up - I think I was getting some of the bad guys out of my system. Got the distance and the pace goals - 8.146 miles (goal 8 ) in 1:24:44, a 10:25 pace (goal 10:30).
More a moral victory than anything. But if it helps speed up getting over whatever it is I have, it was worth it.

Since it's been pouring rain here for about 20 hours straight, and my little park trail is actually underwater from the flooding rivers, I retreated to the treadmill at the gym for 3 miles.

1 hr of strength training in the morning at the gym.
6.4 miles in 47:31 followed by 4x~100 strides on the road in the afternoon. Yet another sunny and cold day (32-36 degrees). Clouds are starting to move in and the forecast tomorrow predicts flurries...
