Hey, while you're all thinking of weddings has anyone ever heard of a demand letter? BIL and girlfriend are getting married in a month. Hubby is in the wedding party. For the last several months every member of hubby's family has been asking what they can do to help and have been getting blown off with 'don't worry it's all taken care of'.
Yesterday we get home to a 'demand letter' outlining our roles in the wedding plans, 'as per our earlier discussions'. WHA? I apparently am supposed to make salad and veggie platters for 150 people. Hubby is in charge of shuttling food from parent's house to hall across the street and signing the marriage certificate. Of course since he's in the wedding party this is to be expected but I'm wondering how many other people have had bombs dropped on them that they're expected to help cater this fiasco.
I'm going to call MIL and see what HER demand letter said.

That's Lame-O, Shannon...If I were you, I'd bring something awful like Liver n Onions Pasta salad or something
When we got married we just had a quick little itinerary for our party...telling them to be here at this time, don't be drunk, and for pete's sake, smell good...

Wedding song: Um, I have no idea. I was drunk by the time we got to the reception and wife was well on her way. All those photos and cruising around getting free champagne at local drive-thrus was time and alcohol consuming....
No more songs for this old boy.

But I love you so much that is spite of the trouble
I keep coming back to you. |
The above song is
I keep coming back to you Beth Nielsen Chapman

Yes! That's it! I knew she had 3 names.

"It Had To Be You" was our song. I'd have it again. Every time we hear it we drop what we're doing and dance to it.

We eloped...no song, and I'd do it again! Much less stress...
Geez...I'm such a romantic, I can't even think of a song.

1) "I love the way you love me" by John Michael Montogmery
2) THe Mrs actually likes "I cross my heart" by George Strait even better now. Would I change it? Maybe

No dancing or drinking at our wedding.
But, my hubby and his groomsmen walked down the aisle in uniform to "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood.
One of my good friends sang "Forever and Ever Amen" by Randy Travis.
I think I'd change the second one--I originally wanted Peter Cetera's "You're the Inspiration", but my friend couldn't sing that high. So, we got Randy Travis.
