As the weekend begins to approach and you have a race when do you start watching the news or checking out Weather.com to find out what their predicitions for the weekend will be?

I usually start looking the Wednesday or Thursday before just to get an idea. Since the weather here does not change much too much temperature wise the only real thing I look for is rain.

I start checking off and on about 2 weeks before. I'll get an idea of the temperature that way.
About 10 days before is when I start checking it two, three or four times a day.

weather.com junkie
probably check it 3 times a day every day. yes i look at races/events i'll be doing too. great way for other city checks since you obviously dont get the local TV coverage. Also the hour by hour to dtermine dress and if i want a set of fresh dry clothes or not for after the race.

But earlier if it's out-of town, usually one week before the race.

Usually when I'm about to step out the door to leave for the race.
Weather forecasters are statistically something like 40% right when they try to predict anything beyond a day. And statistically, 3 out of 4 days are going to be weather-wise exactly the same as the prior day. In the end it doesn't all matter 'cuz I usually bring clothes for any possiblity
