to have lunch with our son at school today. Our son actually asked us to have lunch since dad is going away. I can't believe he's not embarrassed by us yet. (He's in 6th grade) I figure this is pretty much the last time he'll want us around at school.
So, wish us luck that we won't mortify him in front of his friends.

Cool! Enjoy it while it lasts and don't forget to comment on how delicious the food is. I'm sure you'll be dining at a 4 star cafeteria.

My two oldest go out of their way to keep their schedules hidden so Mrs. Hayes and I won't make a surprise apperance.

You must be cool parents and not even know it. Bet even your son's friends think you're cool. Enjoy.

I don't think I've ever been "cool", really. Eccentric, yes. (We only have one cat, though--how many before you're officially labeled "eccentric"?)
PH--I'm sure we'll be having filet mignon disguised as cheeseburgers. It's a pretty cool school--they have actual Domino's pizza on Tuesdays. And they have a salad bar and PB&J if nothing else suits you. Choices, choices!!!

I think your son should be proud that HIS dad is putting it all on the line for all the other dads. That makes his dad that much cooler.

Don’t worry, as long as you don’t do anything rash, like speaking or breathing, you won’t embarrass him.

WOW!! To be invited to a 6th graders lunch is a big deal! You must be pretty cool. I never in a million years would have invited my parents to lunch at 6th grade.

What is this #8217 that keeps showing up in your posts? Am I not seeing something?

It is suppposed to be an apostrophe. It happens to her all the time. When she types one in, that's just what pops up. Wierd, I know.

She types her responeses up in MS Word (2K?) and then pastes them into the reply box. The #8217 is the HTML code for an apostrophe.
