I'm so happy to say we officially have a new pooch....
We've even finally named him....So please welcome Dudley!!!
It didn't take long, but this guy totally grew on us and has become part of the family. It's funny, because our gut reactions that he maybe wasn't the right dog for us were just plain wrong.....not very usual that your gut is wrong. But then again our gut was reacting to him before we really knew what he was like.
He is the absolute sweetest dog I've ever met. Laid back and very easy to have around the house. But when we go outside or to the park to play, he's up for it and has lots of spunk. He loves sitting by a window in our bedroom that looks into the back yard to watch for squirrels. He's sweet with Hayden and a great cuddler. He even went on a boat ride on Saturday and stood at the front while his ears flapped in the wind!
We're totally sold on him and happy to have him!!!!!!  So the saga is over, and we have our pooch!!!!!

That's awesome, Molly! I had a feeling you'd end up keeping him. Special needs animals--and people--are sometimes more high maintenance than the average, but I think they are also the most loving and therefore more than worth the investment.

What's his "history"? I used to walk dogs monthly way back when I lived in Boston and the history of each dog was so interesting. One dog in particular...what was his name??...anyway, his folks got divorced and neither of them could keep him because they each moved into an apartment and just could not accomodate him (he was a Newfie). Sweet guy.
Anyway, Dudley is a BEAUFITUL dog. Glad he found his way to your hearts and is now a member of your family. Lucky dog.
