We are flying out the 26th of August to ST Louis, MO. Larry has an interview with a development company that includes Red Moon Restaurants. They may very probably have an opening for an accountant part-time. The money is a LOT better for Larry, and I could potentially work P/T and write the rest of the time (I can't focus on writing full-time until I make some $$ from it).
The cost of living is much more affordable. The longer we stay here the further we get in the hole. We'll never be able to afford to own a home here (as an example, our teeny one bedroom rental house would be on the market for $369,000.)
Wish us luck! We need to get away from these crazy people. I don't know how I will adjust to wearing shoes again, however.

How would you adjust to sane people though? I'm afraid they'd be awfully boring...or so I've heard....

It is colder, but this is a good opportunity for us to save money and eventually be able to move (for a final time) to Charleston, SC and buy a house there. That is our goal. We are just not ever going to get ahead down here financially. It's already cost us a ton of $$. Additionally, neither of us want to raise a child down here.

I have a good friend who lives in Rock Hill SC. Not a bad place to live, and the housing is very inexpensive. The laws are a tad harsh on some things. All in all...not to bad depending on what you do for a living. No vehicle state inspection is a bonus.
