Posted: 08/25/06 - 02:11 Post subject: We may be getting our house sold this weekend (w/ Updates)
seriously...We've been selling our house for the past number of months and finally had a serious buyer in the last 2 months or so. Now there's gonna be a final inspection of the house on Sunday before it's officially sold to him. Then we're given up to late October to look for a new home somewhere nearby and move out.
However right now the status of the house remains conditional...if it fails the inspection, the house will not be sold.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. The sellers housing market right now is a scary one, no matter where you are.

whomever they may be... | If you are willing to pay at least over 600 grand for a 2000-4000 square foot home, then yeah, it's within your reach

yeah...the market's all crazy expensive right now...we offered our house @ 600 grand (after lowering it from close to 700 grand) and that's like the lowest price in the entire neighborhood...for 800 grand in our area you can get only a small 2-level house (2000 sq feet) with 3 bedrooms (ours has 4 bedrooms in the upper floor and a walk-out basement)

And to think that prices in Coquitlam have gone down over the last few years. When my inlaws moved there, you couldn't get a home on the mountain for less than $1million.
They paid more for their one bedroom condo than I did for my house....

well, the buyer changed his mind again and had the inspection Tuesday evening. He agreed to take the house and now it's officially sold! Now we have about 2 months or so to move out and find a new place!
