The resident's French Chef. Wow, the epitome' of the rich. The house was close to a few million dollars, in the wealthiest part of our township.

Wow, aren't they special.
I am glad I am just a working dude.

Rich people never cease to amaze me.

All I do all day is look at how rich people spend their money. My favorites are the trust fund babies, particularly those that we have discretionary access to their money (so I get requests like "I'm spending the weekend in New York and I'm really sticking to my budget I PROMISE! Only food this weekend! So, $10,000 please!" Shocked Or the ones who have check card access to their funds, because then I get to see what they spend it on. Let me tell you, its weird weird crap (condom warehouse?), but it keeps peons in my dept amused!!

Mine? Or the trust fund babies? Mine strangely is....the trust fund babies? They tend to spend like its a bottomless account...I'm not sure they are neccessarily set for life (even though some of them should have been several times over...)

Money should be like toys: if you can't play with it nicely I'm going to have to take it away from you...

I work with a lot of people like that, they just have absolutely NO CLUE about anything based in reality. If they weren't such a bunch of pompous poopheads I would probably feel sorry for them.

What burns my biscuits the most is that those who HAVE it all tend to be the ones who GIVE the least....I've been involved in community outreach for years at my job, and the highest up are always the least generous. Very sad.....I would love to have enough money to play AND help other people.

No, not really. We invest whats left of it. My boss, depending on his relationship to these people, gets on some of them for their spending (thus the explanations about budgeting and such) but for the most part we don't do financial planning, and these kids after the age of 30 (or whatever) can spend the money as they please. Sick.

The only trust fund I have is that I trust that the funds I have in the checking account will pay for the bills accumulated in the letter rack.... sometimes this trust is ill-advised.....

I don't have it in for those people who happen to have money... earned or inherited. It's refreshing to hear of people who live sensibly even though they may have a lot of $$. Having a French chef is a lifestyle that I can't imagine and I hope that even given the finances, I wouldn't find the desire to have one. <rant> It's all relative. Personally, I think that having a minivan for families with one or two children is excessive. Ditto for SUV's that aren't taken off-road. Ditto for those who have trucks and only one "haul" a year or so. </rant>

Kids, teenagers/young adults, need to learn the same lessons of responsibility whether they have a trust fund or not. They just don't feel the pain of financial irresponsbility; they'll feel it in other ways.
