I guess those kids never knew how big of a hit the song Another Brick in The Wall would be. They are now going for royalties for singing in it would be. I guess they're "thinking" now and about the money they've missed out on.
I personally think that they should go for royalties. I still love the song and they "make" the song IMO.

Knowing your occupation, Noley, you knew this was just a matter of time -
Teacher, leave them kids alone.
Nice that it only took them a couple of decades to realize they could get something out of this.

It's funny. To this day when I hear this song, I think in terms of what I felt like as a kid hearing that. I truly did wish a few of my teachers left me alone. It's ironic that I'm now a teacher and could be considered a nemus to one of them??? Hopefully not. I still smile through the entire song.

They may have a hard time proving that they were actually the ones singing. That's what I'm gathering from the reports anyway.

Not every singer gets royalties for songs they sing. Heck, even the actual band who's name goes on the album cover don't always get royalties from their first albums...
Besides, who knows when a song will be a big hit, and when it won't, when you are recording the song?
You made an agreement. Hopefully you did it with parental supervision*
Live with it.
* if there is some situation in which the parents didn't actually agree to their kids singing in the song, then I would reconsider my position. Otherwise, tough crap
