We have a similar group of ladies at our local Y. They meet under the guise of an arthritis class. I personally think it's just an excuse to get the pool to themselves and gossip for an hour. |
Ours meet under the guise of incontinence. I personally think it's just an excuse to take all the nearby handicap parking spots.

Most of my morning runs get 'interrupted' with chit-chat with all of my neighborhood grandparents. Gotta keep up you know.

Perhaps I could have said that better. I suppose an older woman dressed as an olderer gentleman, avec un chapeau!, with lots of perfume and stopping the younguns to chat would not be looked upon favorably. Might even result in a ride to the country with a fancy, new, white coat.

i took a water aerobics class once and was real into it working hard and stuff...
the old ladies in the class just treaded water for 20 minutes
prolly went to their docs and said yeah i am doing water aerobics
these are the same ladies that get mad when i do a flip turn in the pool and get their hair wet (while they are in the pool, "working out")
