Any animal is trainable. I've even seen bunnies on leashes.

Better than a rabbit.
Our neighbor had a huge rabbit - a good 20 pounds, and when she took Skater out, she'd have him on a leash.

When I first got my kittens, I thought "How fun! I'll put this leash on them and they can get outside occasionally! fun for all!" Uh, no. They hated it, and hated me for doing it. It wasn't pretty. I still have scars.

Our neighbors walk their dog and honest to God their cat follows them, leashless, about 10 paces behind.

I'll give ya 10 bucks if you can get a collar on my cat. Without killing him.

Cat, no. We had a rabbit who went on a leash though. But he liked M&M's too.

A few years ago a woman knocked on my front door with her cat on a leash. Unfortunately my dog loved to chase cats and when my dog saw her, out the door and round and round the poor woman they went.
Fortunately no harm was done, but the woman never did visit me with her cat after that.

I tried to do the same thing when I got kittens. I took them to the track and had little leashes and everything. I ended up walking most of the way around the track with a kitten on each shoulder (they were so mad I couldn't even hold them).

Dudley did the combat crawl, thinking if he crawled low enough the harness thing would go away.
George however was sort of like a mexican jumping bean on a leash when I put the harness on him. Freaked. out. He was jumping/flailing rather violently, bouncing all over all while being tethered to me, until I took it off. He was not pleased. I felt so bad. Except, try taking a collar off a cat that is PISSED OFF and flailing. The doctors think I may regain vision in my left eye after this next surgery.
kidding...sort of....

i walk my cats. both of them.
they sit at the door and cry until i leash them up and take them out. they are very skittish about traffic on the road though so i basically keep them strolling in the yard.
i did walk one about a mile thru the neighborhood once and i'm positive we saw no traffic or she would have freaked. i have since learned that cars to them are

Our cat goes out on his own. We wanted him to be an indoor cat, he wanted no parts of it. If he is out when we walk the kids to school he tags along.
