Wal*Mart (Evil Empire)
Some state agencies like DMV. Fortunately in NYS you can do about 90% of DVM Stuff on line.
For that *&%^* race to begin

The more important for you to get through the line, the longer the wait. It never fails.
For a specific, though: Froggy's postcard from Belize.

Mwahah! Forgot about that one -- TAXI ruled.
I play an MMORPG (Star Wars Galaxies) and there are some long waits ("time sinks") there...waiting for shuttles, waiting for enhancements from docs and musicians. I pay $15.00US per month to wait in line? My husband and I have a running joke whenever we encounter a line in real life..."Is this the buff line?"
Well -- it's funny to us, dammit!

am i the only sucker who waits in doctors' offices??
if i can be on time, why can't they --- and what's up with the hour wait when you are the first patient of the day?????????? what the hell are they doing back there??????????????
so, you wait in the waiting room. then, they stick you in the "examination" room and you wait your ass off there as well.....except this time, you have no enlightening literature like Fishing Times or PA Hunter to keep you occupied. you just sit there, mostly staring at the walls. this is the one and only time in my life that i am tempted to steal stuff....you know go thru all their drawers and see if there's any good stuff to take...funny how those big fat popsicle sticks and alcohol wipes can start looking like a real value to me...i mean, it's the least they can do for my now 2 hour investment.
i hate waiting for a doctor.

I hate that too. Worse: waiting for the doctor in nothing but a paper gown. You know what I'm talking about. Yuck.

Mail delivery at my office.
The post office can't seem to understand why we complain when our delivery shows up at 4:30 some days, and at 10:30 on others.
