So, I'm at the market and guess what ? A woman is on her cell phone. No biggie, I do that myself to check with SO if she needs anything in particular. The annoying part about this is... she was using her speakerphone !! So now I had to listen to her and her SO babbling about groceries. She was on the phone in her car, walking into the store and in the store.
Now we can look forward to hearing both parts of inane conversations.

my new phone has speaker phone and I really don't get it...what do you use it for? what am I missing?

i have a nextel, so if anyone calls me with the direct connect, its automatically on speaker phone. there is a private mode so that the speaker is off, but everyone around you still hears that beep beep when you talk to the other person.
it also has a speaker mode for when im actually connected with someone. i only use that speaker mode for when i check my voicemails in the car.

Oh, that makes sense. No, mine is Cingular. Regular phone, but should I want to I could make any conversation speakerphone on my new motorola. I haven't figured out why I would want to do this yet....

Funny thing. One time Kramer Nextel direct connected to me and I said a few naughty things to him, thinking that he was probably alone. Turned out he was in the elevator with several other managers, including his boss, and everyone heard me.
