We just returned from the funeral home. I've seen the saddest sight in the world: several dozen crying teenaged girls. One of the most heartwrenching things I've ever witnessed. And watching the family, such a very large family, hug each of these girls, and tell each girl how sorry they are for their loss. So much sadness and loss, and so much grace. It took 45 minutes to get through the line, and there were so many behind us. I don't know how grieiving people do it.

Please do keep those good thoughts coming. The funeral is tomorrow, and most all of Lainie's class (as will Libby and I) will be there. Those poor kids. Rough stuff for a bunch of barely teenagers.

I can't imagine that situation, but I agree, viewings are brutally tough.

Thanks all. We just returned from the funeral. A little too preachy, but nice overall. They played songs from Sharla's radio station which was nice but unusual. And they replayed the tribute the station had on Wednesday, which broke all of us when the DJ broke down (I listened to it live on Wed, cried then too). Then began the service with Martina McBride's song, In My Daughter's Eyes--Sharla's favorite song... My goodness.

It was beautiful and awful.

Thanks again, everyone.
