We effectively cancel out each other's votes 75% of the time. I think the only time we voted together nationally was during the Clinton years. This year the SO is solidly in the Republican camp. On local elections we tend to be 50/50.

I would think that, in most cases, your spouse will be along the same lines as you in both political and religious issues.

Same boat....everytime, but he was a little worried this time around, not for cancelling him out but for not voting for his guy. When, and if the 3rd party puts up a good, solid candidate, I'm out of hubby's camp for good. Or if any party puts up a minority, I will vote against the rich, white man
