Anybody else here have one?
I planted my tomatoes last weekend. I have two 4X6 raised beds. In one box I have four Celebrity (they handle the intense heat well) and in the other box three Husky Red Cherry. This year I am kicking around building another box and maybe growing some beans. In the past I have also grown all types of hot peppers and bell peppers. Bell peppers break my heart--for whatever reason they don't grow well for me. And I have always wanted to grow corn, but don't think I have the room.
So, anybody else here a farmer wannabe?

Not the time for me. Did tomatos a few years ago, I was over run. Would love to back into it soon. It would be a nice family thing to do.

I am gonna start mine next weekend. Had planned to do it this weekend but I am not allowed to do any type of lifting, so me and the kids are going to do our planting next weekend

i enjoy planting a garden but don't especially enjoy taking care of it...so what ever can manage to grow through the weeds...
usually plant a couple of varieties of tomatoes (big boys seem to work well) and hot peppers.
also usually plant a cucumber and some bell peppers....
I also have a difficult time with bell peppers...I never seem to get more then 1 to 2 peppers per plant...

I may try again this year. 2 years ago was my first attempt with watermelon (kids pick) and bell peppers (my pick). Did OK with the watermelon, but the peppers failed.
Didn't do one last year.

I have been planting tomatoes and peppers, will prolly do the same this year. I usually put the cherry tomatoes in large pots I love going out to pick a few for my salad. I also have a pretty good herb garden, the oregano has pretty much taken over, it's approaching the mint so it looks like a battle will ensue. I've grown some birdhouse gourds to make some musical instruments and I'm thinking about doing that again. NOTE: never plant Bamboo in your yard EVAH! I've been trying to kill mine for 2 years now.

Just put down some mulch, or some of the new black plastic ground cover that lets water through but keeps the weeds out.

I plant various herbs, tomatoes and peppers. I have a very small garden but enjoy it. Can't plant until April due to the frozen tundra. I hardly get the chance to eat the tomatoes because my black lab picks them off the vine and eats them

Peas usually go in on St Patrick's Day (with weekly plantings for at least a month)... I'll wait a week or two this year.
I usually plant leaf lettuce with the peas, tomatoes, beans, corn and peppers. I have red raspberries along one side of the garden. The only things that do very well are the peas and berries. After the initial planting, I don't put too much effort in.
Oh, I usually start one new perennial flower in the vegie garden each year to transplant elsewhere. Purple coneflowers were last year's success. Haven't planned for this year.

Definitely some tomatoes and hot peppers, along with some herbs. I want to do snow peas, bell peppers, and radishes as well as a cucumber but I don't know if we have enough room. Also some roses.

We usually try tomatos. I had some last year and they were doing great until we went to canada. By the time we came back they were basically dead. I am trying again this year though.

No planting here yet, the ground is still froze about 9 ft down. Usually in mid-May. Our garden is about 10'x40'. My wife has a green thumb, it's her big hobby. She'll plant a little of just about everything. I help roto-till it up in the spring, so henny-penny lets me eat some of it
