We're probably gonna stay at the Stardust for the first couple nights cuz it's cheap and good enough for us! Then two days in the GC and back to Vegas where we'll probably drop down some more cash for a nicer place.

WE'll make sure to avoid the westward ho...

Yeah, I'm a-goin now. Originally we were going to go to Montana, remember? Well, that fell through, so we wanted to go someplace even more 'natural' and 'beautiful'. Vegas came to mind... Razz

That's right.

Joy and I booked are trip and we're leaving on HALLOWEEN! and coming back on the 6th. We've got our "O" tickets, we plan on spending a couple days down in the GC (that's Grand Canyon, yo) and the rest is up in the air!

Suggestions, thoughts, holiday leftover tips?

joel

Since I go to Vegas once a month I find it over rated, but you'll love O

Going to the N rim or S rim @ GC. [see my photo on my profile]

Oops N rim may be closed!

Just the people watching alone mades going to Vegas worthwhile . We stayed at New York New York and it seemed okay to us Cool . When we went to the GC, we followed the advice someone gave us to drive "the other way around", so we were going against most of the traffic and i think we were also on the best side for pulling off the road. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to take a trek down into the canyon itself - maybe next time. I later read somewhere that the average time a tourist spends actually looking at the GC after travelling all the way there, is something ridiculous like two minutes .

Joel, Take a stab at $50,000, the Mafia coffers could use some cash.
