That's the thing, though. You don't score brownie points for doing something that is expected. And no matter what the girl says, she's expecting something. At least every girl near my age is. It's sick.

yeah but you can score brownie points if you pull of something unexpected. and that i enjoy. kinda like a good surprise on christmas.
but i would not put up with "you ruined valentines day blah blah blah you don't love me". i wouldn't listen to that for a second.
i told my girl we weren't going to spend a lot of money this year, but i found out she's getting me stuff anyway. she wouldn't care if i didn't get her something, and i believe that. but i'd still like to get her something.
i personally don't know of any other occasion when you'd buy roses for a girl...
