We got back from the Bahamas early Sunday morning. Here are some of the highlights:
This is our stateroom aboard the Carnival Victory. We had a private balcony on the port side of the ship. The staff was very discreet and would sneak in and leave towels on the bed shaped like animals. Very cool.
Our first stop was in Freeport on Thursday morning. We hung out most of the day in Port Lucaya at the marina. Here's a shot of the lighthouse:
Also at the marina: The limbo dude is balancing a girl on his legs while doing the limbo. The gf got a pic of him going under the bar while it was balanced on beer bottles (8 inches)
We left Freeport Thursday night headed for Nassau. Here is a shot from the top deck aft of the ship of Paradise Island. The big towers are Atlantis resort.
This shot is looking forward at one of the entrances to the harbor. You can see a small lighthouse and a Celebrity Cruise ship coming in to port.
We managed to shop around Nassau and get over to the Atlantis resort and hang out at the beaches and toured the Dig, which is a cool underground aquarium:
Friday night we hung out at Senor Frog's and 
The ship left port at 2am Saturday morning and we returned to Charleston, SC.
In all, it was a great trip. The weather was perfect. I got to enjoy Kalik, the local beer which was kinda like Yuengling. They are NOT stingy with the rum, either. Most of our mixed drinks were by far the strongest I've ever had.
I can't say enough good about Carnival. The staff of the cruise ship are top notch and bend over backwards to make sure you are taken care of. The food was marvelous and you NEVAH go hungry on a cruise ship.
All of the locals we met on the islands were also super-friendly. Riding with the taxi drivers was like   . Those guys have no fear.
If you've never been on a cruise, you have to experience it at least once. I think we'll try and get another cruise in the next year or so.

Great photos!!
I love cruises, I'm going on another in January. My last one went to Nassau and one of our favorite things was the aquariums at the Atlantis. Such beautiful water there around Nassau too.
Did you see any hurricane damage?

Freeport got hit pretty hard by two of the canes. Our driver there said they had only restored about 80% of utilities. He said Nassau saw very little damage.
