Anyone have kids going. Our church has their's this week and all the kids are going. They are having a great time. Nice thing is that they all are in the same class.
They are very tired when they come home too.

We had ours last month. I was the games-leader this year. Needless to say the kiddos got plenty of "aerobic" exercise

Our church doesn't have the regular week or two VBS in summer. Rather the program for the summer takes on that kind of atmosphere, but it's still part of Sunday mornings.
VBS, from what I recall was always within a month after school let out for the summer. For the first time, I've now seen a couple of churches that are having their VBS in August.

Last year our church did AM VBS and PM VBS. They only did 1 VBS / day this year.

Even though our church is considered one of the "mega churches" in the US (5 Sunday, 1 Saturday service x 2600 seat sanctuary) the one thing they DON'T offer is VBS! So, I enrolled my son in two VBS's this summer. The first one he was able to meet the illustrator for Spider Man and I was able to climb one of those "rope walls" at the Parent night. The next one will be next week when we come back from vacation. I have heard really great things about this one as well. I'll be excited to see what they offer. Both of them are half-day sessions. The first one was in the afternoon (I didn't like that time because it cut right into the middle of the day). This next one will be 9-noon which will be PERFECT!

Ours is next week.
The mrs. could have used the break this week, though.

The 12 and 13year old nephew and niece are going to VBS at their church. VBS was always one of my favorite parts of summer each year. A couple of times I went to VBS at two different churches.
