Clapton is an icon but Wonderful Tonight makes me want to hurl.

Not from where I sit. That song is absolutely Lucy and I. The only difference would be "she brushes her long BROWN hair", otherwise that song sums up our life together.

Her being the most beautiful woman in the world and me being the luckiest man in the world to have her next to me.

I guess it's all in the way you listen to it.

This is a great song. Also, an epitome of a one hit wonder.

Just remembered...

Afternoon Delight by the "something sunshine band" or Starlight Vocal Band ? this should be considered the SUPER epitome of a one hit wonder - that song won the "song of the year" Grammy. Of course that was a couple of years before Milly Vanilly...

They have a best 100 of the past 100 years list:

1 "Smells Like Teen Spirit" - Nirvana 1992
64 "My Sharona" - The Knack 1979
88 "Enter Sandman" - Metallica 1991
93 "Closer" - Nine Inch Nails 1994

Ok. I have played all of these in band at some point in HS. The first three were in pep band and Closer was in drumline one year (no lyrics, just music).
