Do you all remember the "old" VH1...Videos, Performances, the occasional show, the weekly countdown.
This channel has now become E! #2.
It all started with "Behind the Music". Which was great...got to learn alot about interesting artists.
Then came the countdowns...Top 100 Female Performers...Top 100 Songs...Top Songs of the Last 15 years...It just kept going and going...Top 200 Pop Culture Icons?....I even saw David Spade's Top 10 One Hit Wonders... When will it stop?
Then, I love the 80's. A great series. It spawned the 70's, and now the 80's stike back.
Now there are all the shows...The Fabulous Life of Ben and J-Lo, the Hilton Sisters, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston.
They have ET Weekend edition...
Does this channel play music videos? Ever?
I'm not knocking all the shows...Storytellers was awesome...Behind the Music too, and I Love the I love the years shows....
but, I think the success of these shows has revolutionized the channel, and I'm not sure if I like it.

They play videos early in the morn when i'm trying to open my eyes wide enough to get my contacts in so i can drive to work. I think it's from 6-9 am. Same with MTV (music television, my axe)

Whoops! They already have VH1 Classic and a couple of others that supposedly show only videos. I think I have one of them with my digital cable.
But yeah, the original VH1 is just E! Jr.

They do have some video only channels? I've gotta find those. The closest i've found is MTV2, and that's off the air half the time

I know...MTV and VH1 are not the same! I can watch some of the stuff they have on them, but I miss seeing the videos as well. We're not going to pay for the extra stuff right now and it's a bummer.

It must be your cable/satellite provider. MTV2 is on 24/7 here.

Do you have their digital service? That may be why it's only on part of the time. I also have TWC and they only offer it on the digital package here.

Pretty sure it's digital. Yeah....has to be, cause we have a DVR in the living room (and just cable in the other bedroom). So...digital is a reduction in service? That seems screwy.

No, I have their digital and DVR also and MTV2 is on 24/7 here, but on digital only. It may just be a regional thing.  My gf had TWC in Charlotte and gets some channels there that I can't get here in Cary.
BTW, I LOVE that DVR!

I don't use it much, i let the gf do all of that. I just watch what i want in the second bedroom and she records the most.
It's probably regional. Do you just have the basic package or do you have any sort of extra deal? I just have the basic package.

Live in Charlotte, TWC, not digital, have at least 2 VH1 channels, maybe 3, not sure. Have a couple MTV's as well.
I think it is a regional thing.
