My friend starts a new treatment tomorrow in Chicago from this new Dr. who is a 70's hippy type dude. He just happens to be a friend of Dr. Kevorchian(sp?) She has a very positive attitude, feels and looks great. However the cancer is in the liver. That is never good. She is going to do the cancer benefit on Saturday and I will do it with her. The new treatment shoud show results in 3-4 weeks. Please keep her in your prayers and I'll keep you posted. TY for asking.

Continued prayers for her, Deb....you're right, liver cancer is usually one of the toughest to beat, but you just never know. She sounds like she's got SUCH a positive attitude and that will take her a long way, it really will. So will having friends like you to support her.
Dives, thanks for asking, I was just about to post......got a phone call at 3AM that Dad was heading back to the ER since he almost passed out when he got up in the middle of the night and he said he had a really bad headache too. They did a CAT scan, which came up clean, and now the doc has decided maybe it really is his BP meds, (which the cardiologist has refused to address) so they've taken him off today and cut down to half the dosage starting tomorrow to see if that helps. We're getting him a BP cuff so he can monitor at home, I don't like the idea of just cutting down meds that he's been taking for years, no dosage changes or anything that could conceivably cause this problem. So we're sorta back to trial and error but at least he's home.
