Apparently, Mr Aire may be able to come home 1 May. Due to a shortage at his new job in Calif, they are begging for him to show up the first week of June rather than 31 July. So, in order to complete outprocessing in a timely manner, they will release him to come home 1 May. (fingers crossed)
This means only about 45 days to go. (Those of you really good with numbers, please don't correct me if I'm wrong--unless it's less days!!)
We also found out that my mother is possibly facing serious cancer for a second time. They have detected a tumor/mass near her stomach. (She had colon cancer in '96 and was scheduled to have a skin cancer removed in two weeks)
I wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you to the Riff Raff. I don't want to sound maudlin (and a few of you are rolling your eyes, I'm sure) but it has been a tough 45 days. You guys have been amazing. I've had friends on this air base for almost 3 years. Not one has come over to check on me once. You guys have called and pm'd and someone even invited me to lunch!  You guys will never know just how much your words and actions have meant to me. (and my sanity!) You have been better friends than all of my acquaintances and better friends than most of my family! So thanks!

such a positive person--you deserve the very best. i'm sure what you're going thru with Mr.Aire is extremely difficult. i would be nutso.
great news that he is possibly coming home sooner than expected.
so glad you've found some "peace" and fubbyness here in his absense.

Such good news...such sad news.
I'm so happy for you that Mr. Aire will be coming home sooner rather than later. Separations are always tough. And I'm so sorry to hear about your mom.

Update on my brother:
My parents went to Colorado this past weekend to see my brother, he thinks they will be shipping out either this week or next.
He said the rumour is that they are headed to Kuwait.
