Well, I saw my friend on Monday (and yesterday as well). She is hanging in there but still has hopes for the baby to come back to them. I don't know if that will ever happen. They have been thinking now about going back and doing in vitro. I would love it if they could now have their own baby and not have to go through this type of thing again!
In one of her Bible studies at church the ladies had collected money for a baby shower and they didn't quite know what to do with the money they had collected. So, my friend really wanted to go to the women's retreat this year but didn't know if she could afford it...now she will get to go! She will be so thrilled when she finds out they are using that money to help her have a nice, relaxing weekend!
By the way, the retreats at my church aren't your typical log cabin in the middle of the woods with one shower per 20 women. This is a really swank hotel on the Chesapeake Bay!

One of the guys in my husband's firehouse went through the same thing... twice. They were promised a child, the women would have the child, then keep it. They recently receieved a call about twin boys that were going to be born quite close by. So they now are proud parents of cute little twin boys. So, my point is, it will all work out!
