Posted: 10/09/02 - 11:57 Post subject: Update on Jailtime
"It's not a matter of will you go to Jail Jed, it's a matter of how long."
Gee that makes me feel better, this coming from teh owner of the company who without my asking, has gotten me a lawyer.
I havn't been thoroughly breifed yet, but even though the cop gave me the misdameaner "Drivin with an altered tag", the FELONY "Counterfieting" could be the charge i'm facing.
AT this point RTPD i'm about to say, "What? where'd that sticker come from?!" screw being honest if i'm going to do 6 f!uckin months for something this stupid.
First time offender, stupid offense. I got my car registerd and insured the next day. and i'm facing time.
Nice system we have here.

The state of FL just executed a woman this morning too.
Be careful what you tell your attorney Jed.

Perhaps jail time is a bit extreme, perhaps some community service is in order. You did break the law, don't expect a pass.

I'll tell my attorney everything, what he tells thejudge may be different.
About blaming my stupidity on teh sytem, that was a lame comment. I take responsibility for my action, but to give me jail time for something like that is ludicrous. Did you know you can get a $5,000 fine and 3 years in jail for Jaywalking in Minnesota? How about that?
I'm just saying the penalty seems a bit extreme.
"HI, i beat my wife all the time and spend a few days in jail per month."
"Hi, i printed a registration sticker and put it on my plate, i'll see you in 6 months to a year."
just doesn't add up.

Would it be any consolation if we got Camelia Bedelia to bake a cake with a notebook computer inside to smuggle you once you're in the Big House? Think of the possibilities for new threads!
Caught on gregcam: shower time!
[ Poll ] Top or bottom bunk?
Joel, does moderator mean you are in charge of the jailbreaks?
Buttslaps are the least of my problems!
Remember what happened when the Three Stooges got themselves arrested to free the "honest man"?
One more thing...don't ask for your mugshot to bring back here and post if you want to impress them that you are truly repentent of your crime!

the lawyer will be good
i cannot believe you would go to jail for this
if you do then something is wrong
you should get probation at the least
for God sake if you passed or made counterfit money you would not fact that much time

Sorry, but aiding and abetting a felon is not on my list of things to do this week.
Tburt - may I ask why you did it?

One; I'm not a felon. This is a misdameaner offense
Two: I didn't have the outrageous money to get insurance when mine expired (long story, but my car was not road worthy for 8 months while i saved for repairs, i repaired it but had no money to get insurance after that) so while saving for insurance in which i need to get registration, i affixed a sticker on my car so i could commute to work after asking people if they would give me rides. A few days before i had the down payment for my insurance, i got busted.
The day after i got busted i had my car insured and registered.
So who knows.
