Great news Greg! Glad to know that they don't think it's too serious. I am gonna be a downer here though and give you a warning about Prednisone. It is a steroid that I've been put on a couple of times in my life (it's used as a treatment for poison ivy actually).

This drug will mess with your head. I can only guess that it's messing with hormones or something, but when I'm on it (usually after having been on it a short while, it has to build up in your system) I get very anxious and easily angered. I find that I have no control over my temper and get PO'd very quickly. I do not like myself when on this drug.

I just wanted to warn you in case you started acting all funny, hopefully give you an idea of where it's coming from.

Regardless, Good Luck with your treatment! I certainly hope you have less side effects from the Prednisone than I do.

Definitely good news Greg. Advair is good stuff - that's the med I'm on twice a day. My asthma issues have been non-existant since my body adjusted to using it.

Doc put me on the hight octane dose of advair, 500, hopefully that with combined with the massive steriod dose, and the singulair, wel will get this thing all under control.

I'm on the standard regular unleaded dose. Either way, I've been happy with the stuff. No headaches or drymouth like I was getting with Combivent inhaler.

You will. I had a similar experience on prednisone, there's no getting around it, the side effects suck, but it works REALLY well on the asthma issues and relatively quickly, and the effects last, so hopefully one mega-course will fix you right up. I've heard great things about Advair too, I don't have to take it for mine, thankfully, but anyone I have heard that takes it says they've had very good success with it with little, if any, negative effects.

You're on your way now.....YAHOO! Mr. Green

Just called the doctor's office everything look A-Ok with the Echo Cardiogram, according to the nurse. The doctor will call if there are any problems.

That sucks! I hate the whole puffy face thing (at least that's what they due to me.) You'd think afterall of these years they could come up with something with fewer negative side effects..
