ALICIA IS FINE. JUST A CONCUSSION. IAN'S HEAD CONTINUES TO REMAIN INTACT. Thank you.

The way it was told to me is that Ian and another little girl his age were working together to build something on the playground. He bent down and she stood up and they rapped heads.

Ian is fine except for a slight ding on the ridge of his eyebrow. SHE sat down and complained of not being able to see...and THEN PASSED OUT!

He beat feet to the nearest daycare teacher and she came running over to find the girl unresponsive and they called the ambulance. While the EMT's are working on her, she has a seizure so they called the life flight helicopter to take her to Portland.

The helicopter was awaiting the arrival of her parents when I arrived and in asking very calm questions I was able to get the whole story from Ian which I passed on to the EMT's who were not aware that she was complaining of vision problems before she passed out.

Ian is fine and when I arrived was perturbed with the constant questioning after his health.

Mom! I'm FINE!

Wow, I'm glad the school was so responsive. Both for Ian and for the little girl.

I hope she is ok. I am glad Ian is ok.

Please keep us posted on the little girl.

Remind Ian: this is not his fault. Stuff happens.

Give Ian a hug for me.

Wow! Shocked

I hope everything goes ok for the little girl.

Still keep an eye on Ian as well. You never know with head injuries. He had to have hit his head hard as well...she passed out. Keep us posted.

Ouch!

That is scary, esp. when you think that it could easily have been Ian in his classmate's place. I hope she is ok.

Libby hurt herself at school once so badly that she passed out and then hit her head, so she had her first CT, EEG, and EKG at the age of 10. Kids.

Keep us posted on both kids.

and btw, a lazy-arse RRer just sent you a package that she should have sent a month and a half ago... be on the lookout...

eek WHOA what a call to receive. I am so glad Ian is ok. I hope the little girl is too. most likely a concussion. but the seizure thing is definately woth noting.

Yes let Ian know not his fault, sometimes Sh!t happens and this is why it is called an accident.

Also KUDOS to the boy for being so fast on thinking about a teacher. good job on raisin him MW. yes keep us posted on both
