Have any of you all ever run this race? Supposedly the largest 10miler in the country. It is going to be in October. My personal goal is to be in good enough condition by then to be able to compete in the race.

Did DcDiva run this, or did she bag it in order to stay in shape for her marathon?
You might PM DcRunningDiva about this one.

I bagged it this year but this would have been my 3rd year running the race. It is a great race that I would highly recommend to everyone!

Was just looking for info like does it sell out really quickly? Are there alot of hills? I am in south FL right now so there no hills here. The only hills would be running over the bridges or on a treadmill or running stairs at a local stadium.

The course starts in front of the Pentagon and towards the GW Circle over the bridge into Washington DC. From what I recall there were very few hills if any, mostly a flat course. The first half of the last mile, there is a nice downhill to take advantage of before you head into the last half mile(flat), which is mostly cheering spectators, so there's plenty of opportunity to pick up ground in that last mile between the net downhill during the last mile and the spectators. The course finishes in the Pentagon Parking lot. Most of the race is in Washington DC itself, despite the start and finish lines being in Arlington, VA. It is without a doubt a PR course IMO.
I was just checking the site, I had noticed the course map was not online, I'm wondering if it's possible that they will be changing the course in 2005?
Registration starts in April, from what I recall, I believe the race closed out in about a month, maybe longer.

Well training is going well so far. I am up to 15-20miles a week and felling pretty good about running. As long as everything keeps on track like this until registration I thnk I am going to go ahead and register.
