I was finishing off a wonderful 10 miler (more on that in training tales and race reflections ), when my wife and my neighbor yell for me to get into the house. Just minutes before, a guy was shot down the street and the gunmen ran past my house, guns a blazing, and shot another guy. Neither guy was seriously hurt (both shot in the leg).
If I had left my house 10 minutes later or 10 minutes earlier, I would have been caught in the crossfire  .
This was never an unsafe neighborhood, before now.
I really got to get out of here...

I don't think it was random, I think it was a dispute over drug dealing. I think I know some of those involved (I have seen them congregating around) and I never liked the look of them. Going forward, I call the cops whenever I see them

I used to live in a rough part of town and when the neighbors started shooting each other, it was time to move out.
I think it's time for you to move out too Monk. You might not be so lucky next time.

It would be understandable if it was indeed tow guys with the prices of tickets up there. 
Looks like it's time to move to Philly or "Lawn Guyland".

I lived in an area that was OK and then "went bad". Get out now, especially with a wife and 2 children The stress and lack of sleep aren't worth it. Glad to hear you're OK!
