So how cold does it have to get before you turn on the heat? Or is it a specific date that you just refuse to turn it on till? I turned mine on this morning, it was in the upper 20's and about 64 in the house. DH was whinning cuz he was cold last night and wanted it on. He slept in sweat pants and a shirt. Shocked Now it smells dusty in here. Neutral

Indoor temp in the low 60's (63 or so).

Personally, I could live with it at 60, but I doubt my Wife would appreciate it much Smile

Haven't given it much thought to temps, just turn it on when it gets too cold. I'm glad right now to be between heat & air. I leave the window open at night, the whole apt gets cool, then I shut it and it warms up during the day. We've been doing this for a week now. It's kinda like a test of my endurance to see how long I can go before I gotta turn on the heat.

When you can no longer thaw out the water pipes with a hot-air dryer. Smile

I'm waiting for it to get below 60 in the house. This morning it was 61 inside and 36 outside. Its pretty cold in here tho, I don't know how much longer I can hold out.

Usually it's cold enough December-February. Mostly at night though. I think the average high temperature for January is mid to upper 50's.

I'm hoping to hold out until oct 15th, and even then I'll keep the thermostat set low until sometime in Nov.

I like to say I agree with this since I have electric heat $$$$$$$ but there are nights I wimp out and its on. Probably not until summer is over though, and that won't be for another month or two.

The heat is already on! It makes getting out of bed in the morning tolerable. but at night I have a fire and that is nice. Cool
