Alternating several times between weights and short runs on the tread. Not really a planned day to run, but I was having some high ankle pain, and thought I'd try something.
Weights - 25 minutes (not counting time at home). Abdomen, calves, rowing machine. The calf work made all the difference on the tread. Very little mileage, but pain-free and good. 2.74 miles in :23:15.82 (8:29.42).
