If I'm looking at a used truck, should I go with the Dakota or S-10?
The S-10 seems to have more power then the V-6 Dakota. But the Dakota seems to have a smoother ride.
What are you thoughts on the each?

I had a Dakota. It depends on the milage on it... Smooth ride and did very well on ice..
I have not heard nice things about S-10's from the guys at work...they tend to gravitate to the Ford Ranger or Toyota for a small truck.

My S-10 has treated me very well. I bought it with 60,000 miles on it. It now has 146,000 and has just now started giving me troubles.
Are the Ford Rangers that good?

I've had 2 ford rangers that were really good trucks. Don't know anything about the others. One 2-wheel drive and one 4-wheel drive. I gave em' hell too, they held up through much abuse.
