I don’t have a trainer but I guess that you can calculate it very easily. There is a device that measures speed on the trainer and you can see how long you train and compare it to the time and speed you remember achieving on the road. I think there’s not much difference since you can adjust the trainer so that you can achieve the speed you want and you can have a proper training. Maybe you should buy a trainer with fluid resistance, which is very expensive, but it creates real to life experience when training. Anyway, everything can be precisely calculated and your performance won’t decrease during the cold time.
