First 5K of the year - been literally "out of it" since Christmas due to nagging knee problems which seem to be behind me THANKS TO GREAT INFO PROVIDED BY RUNNING BREWER.
My stretching program has helped alot as i ran my best 5K ever - with a time of 25:28. No knee pain and legs felt strong. My breathing sucked - literally. i was sucking wind the whole way through. One long hill we had to run twice.
ran thru an amusement park and by mile 2.75 the signs for funnel cake and fudge were about to make me hurl.
i placed 4th in the 40-49 age group; have no idea how many ran this race though.
felt very good to be back out there.
