Ah, harkens me back to my younger, more rebellious, snowboardinglivinginmycar days. If I had retained even a smidge of that coolness I would have gone to see him do his thing. But alas, I would have looked like the Volvo Driving Soccer Mom of Everclear fame, and who wants that?

my 4yo always wants to play that one, but thinks I should get him through the first level so he can do the others that he likes better.

Surely you jest.
Tony Hawk is a skateboarding legend, and the unique thing about him is that he's been around long enough that he's almost generational. He's got to be about 35 (ancient in skateboarder terms) and has been one of the best skateboarders in the world almost since skateboarding became a culture of its own. Heck, he MADE skateboarding a culture of his own.
It was a massive reminder of my own not coolness to realize I would love to see him ride but would have been laughed out of the park. I'm getting old.

This is Tony Hawk--he's got a cutie of a wife and two or three kids--excellent role model for skaters everywhere.
