The DaVinci Code. Beautiful illustrated edition. I hope I like it. Also picked up How Many Miles to Bethlehem (thanks LC!) for the kids. It's the story of Jesus' birth.
What are you reading these days?

reminds me of the carol "How Far is it to Bethlehem?"
beautiful song and one that can bring tears for me.

Tom Clancy didn't write Splinter Cell.
I'm reading Terry Pratchett's Pyramids, The Best American Sports Writing 2004, and The Two Percent Solution.

I'm at about page 76 (out of over 600) of "I Am Charlotte Simmons" by Tom Wolfe. I think I'm gonna stop there and skim the rest. I also have (as usual) a huge stack of children's/young adult novels to read. Right now I have two going - "Doing It" by Melvin Burgess, and "Bindi Babes" by Narinder Dhami.

Did you hear that Wolfe's book won the Bad Sex Award?

Yes, I saw that yesterday. The sex scenes (the ones I read anyway) were pretty bad. I don't think that writing sex is his strength.

I'm just about to finish the Da Vinci Code. I thought I was going to be able to finish it over the weekend but the family thing got in the way.

I'm certainly not an expert, but I'd say that I'd have to agree with you based on the sample...

Do you mean to say that it beat out books titled "Doing It!" and "Bindi Babes"?
Those sounded like good sex book titles to me!!!
