Things at Chez Partay have been drama-riddled as of late. As I endure yet another crisis, I am reminded that I am so fortunate to have the best husband, male friend, and bestest friend in the world. I also told them so, because I don't do a hellajob of expressing my emotions.
Why is it that as humans we only realize this in the midst of personal tragedy?

Probably because human beings by nature can be very self-focused and it is only through a crisis situation, when we need to depend on others the most, that we see the value of their place in our lives. I've been through this many times myself, and I always vow to be more appreciative of the every day things but sometimes I'm still not. We're all human....
BTW, your timing couldn't have been better. I am having a really sh*t day today myself and this was the perfect reminder that even though things suck, I too am blessed with a wonderful bunch of friends who have gotten me through more than they even know.
I know you and I don't always see eye to eye on things because we're very different, but you came through big time today. Thanks.

I don't know, but I've been in the same situation as of late and realize I don't tell him enough. Definitely something to work on. Thanks.
