please tell them to quit lighting the RED messages button on my converter box. 
i hope it isn't a matter of life or death. i don't want no stinkin' message from my television.
my daughter takes care of it for me.

I have comcast and my box has had the red message light on it for the last week. I think if I ignore it long enough it will just go away.

It's usually just programming highlights and will go away once it's no longer timely.
