I think a lot of lawyers will be making a lot of money. There will be various calls of voter intimidation by both sides.
I think it will be W getting better than 300 EV. I think he will do better than people expect. I base that solely on my study of American History.

What in history makes you think that will be the outcome?

American people support their presidents in times of war.

Since it can be won with only 11 states (CA,TX,FL,GA,NC,NY,OH,MI,IL,PA,NJ = 271), I wonder if any candidate has ever tried campaigning extensively in ONLY these states? I mean really... why waste time in Nevada?

As much as I hate to say this - I think Kerry is going to win. I think he will take FLA, PA, OH, NV, WI, and NM. Bush takes IA, NJ, CO, NH. FLA and PA are the two big ones, obviously.
If Kerry doesn't win, expect more and more and more litigation.

We'll know soon. My wonky poli-sci friends say PA will go for Kerry.

Bush 280, Kerry 252. The six votes (or however many they have) of Colorado will be thrown out by the Supreme Court (regardless of who wins that state) if the proportional voting clause there passes, because of the retro application to the vote taken.
Note however, I'm not doing a stellar job in the NFL prediction pool either.
Your results may vary.

LBJ would disagree with this statement. Carter, too.

LBJ didn't run in 1968
What war was Carter fighting?

1) True. He withdrew, many speculate, because the numbers behind him were so poor.
2) True with Carter not an "official" war, as we tend to hide behind labels and whatnot, but there was that whole Iran skirmish that happened under the table. I seem to recall a hostage crisis and stuff. Something about Carter doing all the negotiations, Reagan swooping in and stealing the credit for releasing the hostages.
